In this personalized Pride and Prejudice book, you and your friends can take on the parts of Elizabeth and Mr Darcy, as well as four other key characters, creating your own unique edition of Jane Austen’s most popular classic.
When you order your personalized Pride and Prejudice book, you can modify the names of up to six characters so they will appear throughout the book. Any characters whose names you want to keep the same as in the original, you can just enter a space in the customisation field, meaning you can have your own romance with Mr Darcy if you want, too! You can also add a personal message to the title page, and a gift box if you are giving this book as a gift, to protect your book as time goes by.

We can see that a Customer Representative has been in contact with you, confirming that we only change the first names within the classic novel books.
With Pride and Prejudice, we only change the first name of Mr Darcy, so therefore where he is referred to as Fitzwilliam, this is where your personalisation will be entered. However throughout this book he is called Mr Darcy quite frequently.

I absolutely love this as a concept but it could have been clearer about the names. I chose my sister's husband to be Mr Darcy who was listed as Fitzwilliam Darcy, but in the book he is Colonel Fitzwilliam and my sister falls in love with her husband's cousin . . . awkward.

We are sorry to hear that you are a little disappointed with your purchase.
With our Classic Novel’s these are based on the original novel we are unable to completely change the character names or the story due to copy write.
Where the character is referred to as William or Fitzwilliam Darcy, William will be replaced by your character name.
Throughout the book he is mainly referred to as Mr Darcy therefore your character will only be mentioned where his full name is used as mentioned on the product page and Colonel Fitzwilliam is not Mr Darcy, they are two different characters.
We will speak to the website team to see if we are able to make this clearer on the product page.

Very disappointed in the book, misleading certificate on title page looks like a small sticker I could have placed on myself, poor value for money- quick dispatch was the best bit

Constant calls about delivery
Constant calls about delivery. The people on the phone actually have no control over when an item gets sent out so it was just constantly false information. I actually didn’t need the item after it arrived late, but I couldn’t stand speaking to them on the phone again to go over the refund process which they probably would have not allowed as it was personalised.

We have looked into your order details and can see that the operators tried to assist as best as they could under the circumstances.
Your order was placed late on the 14th meaning that officially this would go into production on Thursday the 15th and was therefore quoted delivery between the 16th and 20th which does include production time as well as delivery due to the bespoke nature of this product. You then requested to have this delivered by the 16th giving us a day to process the order when we usually allow between 1-2 working days for production so when you upgraded the order it did cause some confusion but despite the inconvenience caused, we tried our very best to process the order as quickly as possible which was then delivered on the Saturday which is not a guaranteed day for delivery.
With that in mind and the time frame in which we were given (less than a day to process the personalised gift) your order was processed and despatched with delivery being one day later than expected, we are so pleased to hear that after every effort made, you have received a really bad experience.
We can confirm that a refund has been processed a gesture for the difference paid for your delivery.

Ordered and paid for a book for my…
Ordered and paid for a book for my mother, promised delivery was july 16-21. Today is the 26th and your website has no info on my order, nothing, and obviously no delivery. Yet, my bank account clearly shows a $99.98 payment to inthebook on july 7, 2021. Update: Inthebook contacted me the next morning, updated me on the shipping and my mother’s book arrived the next day. She’s 84 and it’s been awhile since I’ve seen her tears of joy. All’s well that ends well. Thank you, and I’ve updated my review to reflect 5 stars.

Ordered a personalised book for my 4 year old grandsons birthday, i included a message inside , the encyclopaedia had some very informative bits of information , and bright colours. A nice personalised present to keep.
Very happy with it
