This year, we decided to celebrate Christmas here at In The Book by challenging some of our favorite people to see who could wrap a book in the most creative way. A book is already the greatest gift in our opinion, but unusual wrapping is a way that you can make it even more special.

Sum of their Stories
Over on Sum of their Stories, Julie had some great ideas. Not only are her wrapping ideas creative, but they are also eco-friendly. Using an old book looks beautiful, and gives the receiver a hint of what is inside!

Craft with Cartwright
Ruth Cartwright of @craftcartwright kept the environment in mind too. We thought her idea to use card scraps as tags saved waste and looked great.
Mama Llama Llama
Danielle of @mamallama.llama shows you exactly how she wrapped her books in this video. Using a sheet from a colouring book is such an original idea – it will keep the kids busy that little bit longer too.
Our Competition
We also asked YOU to show off your wrapping skills over on Instagram. Wrap a book in the most creative way, and a yearlong subscription to Disney+ could have been yours. We had so many great entries. Here is the winner:

📸 @kimberleyl.h
@kimberleyl.h wowed us with her origami-themed wrapping. We would be very reluctant to ruin that bow, even if there is a book waiting for us underneath.
📸 @reading.with.wren
We also had some amazing entries from @reading.with.wren and @skali crawler that deserved a special mention!

Let us know if you got any great books for Christmas, even if they were just in regular wrapping!
