The Bolton boys are coming! Relive the history of Bolton Wanderers football club through newspaper clippings in this personalised Bolton FC history book. With coverage beginning in 1923, the year of their first F.A. Cup triumph, this magnificent piece of Bolton football memorabilia takes you through nearly a century of history, revisiting all the key moments from Burnden Park, the Macron stadium and beyond, right up until the present day.
Bolton would win another two F.A. Cups in the 1920’s, as well as registering two third-place finishes in the top flight. From 1935 to 1964, Wanderers remained in the top-flight without relegation; indeed, of all the clubs to have never won the title, Bolton have spent the most total years in the country’s top division: 73. Without question the most famous Bolton player ever is Nat Lofthouse, one of England’s greatest ever goal-scorers, who fired Bolton to their last major trophy, the 1958 F.A. Cup. In more recent years, the Sam Allardyce era saw a whole host of world-class players spending the twilight years of their careers in Bolton, including Fernando Hierro, Youri Djorkaeff and the incredibly popular Jay-Jay Okocha.
