Those were the days! Relive the history of Huddersfield Town through newspaper clippings in this personalised Huddersfield book. With coverage beginning in 1920, the year they reached the F.A. Cup final and earned promotion to Division One, this fine piece of Huddersfield football memorabilia takes you through over a century of history, revisiting all the key moments from Leeds Road, the John Smith’s Stadium and beyond, right up until the present day.
In the 1920s, there was no bigger team than Huddersfield Town. Between 1924 and 1926, first under Herbert Chapman and then Cecil Potter, the Terriers won three consecutive league titles, a record to this day matched only by Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal. The club also reached three F.A. Cup finals in the decade, winning one in 1922, their first ever piece of silverware. The decline began in the 1950s, with the club falling down into the fourth tier after three relegations in four years from 1972. But in 2017, manager David Wagner guided Town through the playoffs and back into England’s top flight for the first time in 45 years.
